COURSE

  • HOLE 1

    Par 4 - 358 Yards

This 384 yard opening hole eases
    you into to your round.

A simple opening tee shot to a generous fairway but don’t be fooled, the green narrows considerable at the back which makes for a tricky approach when the flag is here as its placed between the water and bunker, when the pin is located here it is best to hit a longer tee shot in order to ope out the green.

  • HOLE 2

    Par 4 - 386 Yards

A cleverly designed hole, with a narrowing fairway and a river running through the longest of hitters will need to hit a 3 wood or long iron which brings the fairway bunker into play. A successful tee shot will leave a simple approach with a short iron to a large green.
  • HOLE 3

    Par 4 - 379 Yards

A fade is required to avoid a large tree when playing from the back tees, if successful it will set up a good birdie opportunity but beware the slopes of the green will punish those who do not place the approach in the correct place.
  • HOLE 4

    Par 4 - 374 Yards

Being the shortest Par 4 on the course with an elevated tee shot on the course it provides one of the best birdie opportunities, the approach shot us vital here though as a steep back to front sloping green can take the ball far from the hole or even off the green for an approach with too much spin or a poorly judged putt.
  • HOLE 5

    Par 3 - 190 Yards

A long Par 3 down the hill and often down wind doesn't play as long as the scorecard suggests, left of this hole is a no-go and will likely result with a bogey at best, The curving narrow but long green makes club selection vital as a green-side bunker is awaiting anyone who comes up short, A par is hard earned on this hole.
  • HOLE 6

    Par 5 - 552 Yards

The decision to go for the green in two shots needs to be made on the tee, to go for this the trees must be carried in order to cut the corner, the second shot for anyone laying up needs to be positioned well in order to take the fairway bunkers out of play. This hole offers one of the last good birdie opportunities on the front nine.
  • HOLE 7

    Par 4 - 410 Yards

Advantage goes to the longer hitter, the ability to carry the bunker on the left drastically shortens the hole as well as widening the landing area. For those not able to carry the left bunker will need to play the full length of the dog-leg and needing a mid-iron to an elevated and well protected green.
  • HOLE 8

    Par 3 - 198 Yards

The longest par 3 on the course, from the back tees it is 235 yards to a well protected green, any misses here will require a sharp short-game to save par.
  • HOLE 9

    Par 5 - 592 Yards

The longest hole on the course this Par 5 requires two solid shots in order to leave a short third, any miss-hits will leave a short to mid-iron for the approach, the hole gentle slopes uphill adding to the already monstrous distance, the green allows no relaxation either with a tier running across the centre means that finding the right section of the green with the approach is vital.
  • HOLE 10

    Par 4 - 389 Yards

A gentle dog-leg left must not be taken lightly as any shots on the left half of the fairway can easily be blocked by over hanging branches and well placed trees, a good tee shot down the right side will give a fairly simple shot into this elevated green which again has a small tier running through its centre requiring a little more accuracy from the approach.
  • HOLE 11

    Par 4 - 352 Yards

Another dog-leg left which can be taken advantage of by carrying over the left fairway bunker, a good tee shot here will leave a short approach with the green mainly protected by the elevation change and high bunkers making it difficult to judge exactly where the pin is positioned.
  • HOLE 12

    Par 3 - 160 Yards

Shortest hole on the course and also fairly steeply downhill making it play around half a club to a club shorter than the yardage, good club selection and a well struck shot will make light work of this Par 3 but the water awaits for those who don’t quite catch it.
  • HOLE 13

    Par 4 - 422 Yards

A long hole that plays its full distance and known to be one of the most difficult holes on the course. Longer hitters will have to choose their club wisely from the tee due to the river that splits the fairway, from there a relatively long shot into a green that sits dangerously close to the river ready to punish any shot that drifts left.
  • HOLE 14

    Par 5 - 536 Yards

A double dog-leg which makes it play shorter its yardage A good drive over the left bunker will give a good opportunity to reach this Par 5 in two albeit a blind second shot. Anyone going for the green in two will need to aim at the side of the house in the distance to get the right line and anyone not adventurous enough to try will need to make sure they lay-up down the left side of the fairway in order to open out this narrow green.
  • HOLE 15

    Par 4 - 394 Yards

Yet another dog-leg left on the back nine showing the anticlockwise rotation around the houses that sit in the centre of the course. At first glance this hole seems pretty simple but deep rough awaits awaits those whose approach is a little wayward.
  • HOLE 16

    Par 4 - 428 Yards

Hugging closely to the river all the way down the left side and a well positioned bunker to catch anyone who is being too conservative adding the prevailing wind is against this hole is formidable. A confident tee shot is needed to set up a short to middle-iron approach into one of the largest greens on the course.
  • HOLE 17

    Par 3 - 174 Yards

A mid-length Par 3 which shouldn't be missed left, the waste bunker situated in the front and running down the left of this hole is often firm and unforgiving, a delicate shot to a green that slopes away from the player would require the highest of skills. Keep the ball out of the bunker and its a straightforward hole.
  • HOLE 18

    Par 5 - 512 Yards

The final hole boasts the best opportunity for a birdie or even an eagle meaning anyhone wanting to win must finish strongly. This short Par 5 can be easily reached in two shots but the tee shot must be well thought out as any shot down the left and into the waste bunker will mean any thoughts of going for the green in two will have to abandoned whereas any tee shot that misses right will meet a watery demise. This green sits at the highest point of the course and therefore the green is a little faster and firmer than the others which as caught out many would be
    champions.
